I Heart Autumn...

So it appears that I have neglected my darling little blog for quite sometime, slaps wrist! Two children under three is very wearing...

Anywho, less of the woe is me story and onto the post in hand....

Autumn (apart from Christmas you underdstand) is my very most favourite season. There is nothing better than seeing the beautiful colours of the trees and the rustling and crunching underfoot of their discarded leaves whilst you amble through the woods with your beautiful family and chunky knit scarf.

I thought I would share with you some of my autumnal loves <3

Varnish of The Week #1

I have always had a rather unhealthy love of the old nail varnishes. My collection just seemed to grow and grow. (I counted - I have 40!) However, I used to be a bit boring and stick to fairly neutral nails on my fingers and brighter colours on my tootsies.

Now, I don't know whether its old age (27 is ancient, right?) or the fact that painting my nails has become my kind of safe haven away from Mummy duties! I am always trying nail art and being quite bold with my colour choices!

So I thought I would start a weekly post of my favourite nail varnish of the week!

Varnish of The Week #1

 Pink Ombré

I had an awful time trying to get a good shot of this! It is much brighter in real life :) Flash was too much and without it wasn't enough! (If anyone has any tips on snapping naill varnish - I'm all ears!)

Summer Snapshots

Summertime is starting to feel like a life time ago, apart from the odd exception of yesterday - what a beaut?!
But no, I am not sad. My all favourite season is upon us - Autumn! The most beautiful season by far, but that is another post altogether!

It's been busy and exciting summer for our wonderful little family - it got a wee larger! Harry became big brother and I had the joy of labour for a second time ;)

Joseph (JoJo) popped, so to speak, into our lives at the end of June. A perfect summer baby narrowly escaping my birthday, and both Grandads birthdays!

Summer has mainly consisted of sleepless nights, dirty nappies and trying to entertain a jealous toddler! But we have had some lovely days in between :) Next year is gonna be a blast!

I hope you have all had utterly fabulous summers!
I'd love to hear about yours....

Proud daddies, new brothers, cake making and maltesers scoffing!

Barbecues and water play, milky times and cheeky times!

Green grass, smiles and Jack Daniels (for mummy!)

Brotherly cuddles, cars, shaving foam and Lush baths!

Silliness, cocktails, strawberry plants, digging and chocolate playdough!

Painting and cheekiness!

Crafting and Yummy food!

Beautiful butterflies, Mummy Madness, sleeping beauties and late night snacking!

How Much Is Your Face Worth?

So after what seems like an actual eternity, I have escaped from the sleepless, newborn baby bubble and have smacked down to earth with a bump. Shockingly, in the last two and a half months I have not read a single blog post - and for this I must apologise!

Catching up with the always wonderful Sprinkle Of Glitter's blog, I saw this fabulous post and I was compelled to find out for myself!

The title is probably self explanitary (unless you are rather slow on the uptake like myself!) Totalling the prices of the make-up products you use everyday  - I definitely cannot believe that the products that I use on my mug everyday amount to this!

Here goes....

Sew, sew, sew!

I have been meaning to get into a little crafty project for some time now. However lack of materials and somewhat inspiration has hindered me. So low and behold the wonderful Instagram has been my saviour - there are so many inspirational posts out there and I have far too many fabulous ideas running through my little head!

I had a rare use of the car on Friday so me and the Little Monster raided The Range and found some goodies!

So last night whilst my wonderful little lad slumbered and the darling boyfriend propped up the bar at the local con club I set to work.

Armed with a brew and a slab of birthday cake :)
I made a template and pinned it on...
Rearranged some pretty buttons and sewed them on...

As you can see I made two, a green and a purple. The green I have lovingly made for my mummio and the other is looking pretty hanging on the cupboard door in my hallway.

These little hearts were so enjoyable to make and kept me thinking of something other than the impending pain I will be induring again soon!

Do you like to get creative? What are you your favourite hobbies?

The Wonderful World of Harry

Considering I have been on maternity leave for the past month, I have actually not done any of the things I mentally agreed to do! The Little Monster however has been lavishing the complete attention he has been recieving!

Here are a few snaps of his adventures this month...

His latest obsession...

Time to water the sunflower seeds...

Ice lollies in the sunshine...

Putting the car in 'time out' apparently...
Water painting...

Washing his motor...

Shaving foam playtime...

Grandma's ice cream and strawberry sauce...
Cup 'o tea alfresco...

First trip on a Steam Train...
Just a few bits and bobs!

What have you all been up to in the glorious sunshine this month?

Freedom

Hmm, kinda!

Last week marked my last shift at work before I went on maternity leave for a whole TEN MONTHS!
I only work 3 evenings a week but not getting home until 12.30am was taking its toll - don't even get me started on the huge hill I had to clamber up after every shift to get to the car park!
Leaving goodies!

I was so very touched when my lovely work chummies organised this little set up for little old me, they do love me!

The Work Lot
The cake certainly didn't last very long!

Tonight is my first night of not having to venture into work and I am trés excited! I wonder what one should do? Enjoy the peace for the next 6 and a half weeks I think!

Any suggestions?

One In The Oven

I know, I know! I'm a tad late in realising this but as I am indeed 31 weeks pregnant today, I felt as though I should have a visual record of my whale like proportions!

Although this is my second pregnancy, I really regret not having any snaps of my expanding mid-section last time. You really do forget how big your tummy gets and as this is my last little bubba, I am going to make the most of my last few weeks.

So here are a few posy-posy snaps of a trigger happy mum-to-be!

My Little Monster

**PROUD MUMMY ALERT**

Introducing Harry, my crazy little pumpkin!

Harry has just turned two and absolutely full of mischief. He certainly is a Mummy's boy (I am secretly very pleased with this!) however not so when he throws himself on the floor in front of the automatic doors of my local Tesco :)

He has been such a perfect little angel recently, and today was no exception. I just had to share his cheeky chops!
However, I'm certain there's an explosion of toy cars on the lounge floor that still needs to be put away, ahem shoved to one side before I can clamber wearily into my bed with a brew! How did a boy so small create so much mess??

Ah well, until next time,
Sweet dreams xx

Biting the Bullet

Image from Google Images
About this time last year, whilst pondering the reams of information available to us on t'internet and searching for a review on becoming a Body Shop at Home consultant, I had the pleasure of stumbling across a lovely little blog. http://sprinkleofglitter.blogspot.com/  It is written by a very nice lady who is both wonderfully happy and inspirational. A proper good egg all round, and we all love a good egg now don't we?! I love how her posts have varied from craft to beauty to baby!

Months went by and I started reading more blogs, and as my life has changed, I am interested in so many more things! Gone are the days of getting drunk and dancing till dawn (although I do dance like a wally behind closed doors!) and in with the days of playdates, shopping and hoovering! Over the past year I have thought how awesome it would be to have a lovely little blog of my own! However, having never read a blog before this (to be honest I hadn't the foggiest what one was!) and having no idea what to write had me bamboozled before I had even started!

So today whilst perusing mountains of blogs, I have bitten the bullet, taken the bull by the horns (insert any other appropriate saying here!) and thought just blooming well go for it you buffoon! I am just going to write whatever I darn well feel like that day!

Today I felt like going round the houses and telling you a very longwinded version of - 'I am starting a blog!'

So it's over and out from the rambling wally dancer, until next time....
